By R Clean Solution
A turnover clean is not a tidy-up with a deadline. It is a reset: the property has to reach the next guest in the same state the last one found it, and the only way that happens reliably is by working to the same list every single time, no matter how tight the window between a check-out and a check-in.
Start with the bathroom, because that is where reviews are decided. Shower glass and screens, the base of the toilet, the drain, the underside of the seat, and the floor along the wall where hair collects — those are the spots a guest notices instantly and mentions in writing. A bathroom that is 95% clean reads as dirty; there is no partial credit.
Then the kitchen. Not just emptied of the last guest's dishes but genuinely ready to cook in: inside the microwave, the fridge shelves, the sink and its drain, the hob and the space behind the tap. Check the cupboards for what was left behind, and check the bin — a bin liner that was replaced but not the bin itself is a smell that arrives about two hours after the guest does.
After that comes the reset. Beds stripped and remade with fresh linen, towels counted and hung, essentials restocked, and every moveable thing put back where the listing photos show it. That last part matters more than it sounds: a guest booked the room in the photographs, and furniture that has drifted around the room over three stays makes the place feel less cared for even when it is spotless.
Finally, walk it as a guest would. Come in the front door, put a bag down, sit on the sofa, look up. Ceiling fans, the tops of picture frames and light fixtures are all in the eyeline of somebody lying in bed and nowhere in the eyeline of somebody cleaning at speed.
